History and achievements: Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering, Bankura (BUIEB), is a private engineering institution affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal. BUIEB was instituted in 1998 by a social workers group dedicated to producing high-quality academic and practising professionals and came to be the first engineering college in Bankura. Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering is an engineering degree institute funded by Phase II of TEQIP Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme.
